Eight Tips to Get Ready for the Sold Out BlogPotomac Conference
BlogPotomac is sold out. If you are registered get ready for a great event. Here are some news and tips for attendees, and our first item is for everyone.
ooVoo has signed on as a sponsor and will live videocast BlogPotomac on this site, The Buzz Bin, The Viget Labs blog, BlogWrite for CEOS, and several participating speaker blogs (more coming on this). So there will be video for those who cannot attend, and a permanent repository of conference video.- Wear jeans, shorts or similar casual wear. It is a social media unconference, and as such you should not be surprised by the nonchalant open culture, including dress.
- Because it is an unconference format (see past post explaining format), audience members should be ready to participate. If you are new to social media, please do not ask what an RSS feed is, or if blogs are good for companies. We assume a 101 level of knowledge for this event.
- All attendees will receive a T-shirt. We have ladies tees, too.
- Lunch will be served by Windows Catering! We’ll have coffee in the morning, too, but no snacks so eat your breakfast!
- The State Theatre will open a cash bar for the final session, Kami Huyse on ethics. So if you want to get an early start on Happy Hour, please do so!
- Books from KD Paine, Debbie Weil, Rohit Bhargarva, and Geoff Livingston will be available.
- Directions to the State Theatre are available here: http://thestatetheater.com/
We look forward to seeing you on Friday!
