Beth Kanter

Speaker - Beth KanterBeth Kanter has worked as fundraising and marketing staff person at large arts nonprofits before working as a sole proprietor offering consulting services to nonprofits in research, marketing planning, training, and organizational strategic plans. For the past 15 years, she has worked as an independent consultant for nonprofits on a wide range of technology assessment, planning, and capacity building services. Since 2003, she was authored one of the most popular nonprofit social media blogs. She was named one of the most influential women in technology by Fast Company in 2009 and a social media innovator in 2009 by BusinessWeek. She is currently serving as the Scholar in Residence at the Packard Foundation and co-writing a book to be published by Wiley in 2010 tentatively titled "The Networked Nonprofit."

Shonali Burke

Speaker - Shonali BurkeBased in the Washington, D.C., area, Shonali Burke is the IABC-accredited principal of her own firm and adjunct faculty at Johns Hopkins University's Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. Her 13+ years of experience include a stint as the ASPCA's Vice President for Media & Communications, where she instituted its award-winning measurement program, and both small and large agencies on both coasts of the United States. In 2007, PRWeek named her to its inaugural "top 40 Under 40" list of U.S. public relations professionals. She blogs at Waxing UnLyrical, under the watchful eyes of Chuck, Suzy Q. and Lola, her three rescue dogs.

Speaker - Shel IsraelShel Israel writes, speaks, advises and tweets on social media. He is author of Naked Conversations--how blogs are changing the way businesses talk with customers with Robert Scoble [Wiley, 2006], The Conversational Corporation, a Dow Jones eBook (also with Scoble), and Twitterville, how businesses can thrive in Global Neighborhoods [Portfolio, Sept.2009].

His GlobalNeighbourhoods.net, blog is among the 50 most popular business blogs, according to Ad Age. He has also contributed to Businessweek.com.

Shane Lennon

Speaker - Shane LennonShane is responsible for strategy, marketing, user adoption, the product portfolio at GyPSii® and is the advocate for end users and the voice of the market. Lead strategic market development efforts to identify and drive business priorities and strategy across teams including engineering, product management, sales and business development, field and senior executives to drive a coherent and unified business execution. Marketing and Product Management functions driving the long term strategy to gain share, grow engagement and drive our business model. General marketing activities: including corporate communications strategy, product marketing, marketing programs to drive membership adoptions and usage, and branding.

Natalia Luckyanova

Speaker - Natalia LuckyanovaNatalia Luckyanova, iPhone application developer and cofounder of Imangi Studios. She is a Harvard University graduate (2003) and has a masters in Computer Science (Boston University, 2006). Her company, Imangi Studios, LLC is an independent game development studio based in Washington, DC.

Jane Quigley

Speaker - Jane QuigleyWith more than 16 years in the interactive marketing space, Jane has recently become crayon's Vice President of Client Relations. It's a role she's especially excited about, as working with her clients and establishing deep respect and trust through hard work and client advocacy is one of the skills she's most proud of.

Jane has a true excitement for all things Social Media. She has implemented a number of social technology applications and campaigns for her client's marketing and media schedules, including white-label social networks, corporate blogs, mobile campaigns and more. She also has her own Second Life Conference Center, which has hosted a number of client conferences, as well as a fashion show.

Prior to joining crayon, Jane was the Vice President of Social Media and Emerging Technologies for Zeta Interactive, a full-service interactive agency in New York City. She has also worked with Posner Advertising – where she ran the award-winning Interactive Division and helmed her own digital shop, NiamhOnline (which means "brightness and beauty" in Irish), which focused primarily on fashion and pharma clientele.

A passionate early adopter - and technology fanatic - Jane loves to test new technologies and services to see how (and when!) they should be adapted for client use. She has her own social network at Virtually Social, which aggregates a lot of her online interaction, including her social media blog, Social Days and her productivity blog, Setting Contexts.

Peter Slutsky

Speaker - Peter SlutskyPeter Slutsky is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Ning. Before joining Ning, he served as the Communications Director at Progressive Strategies, LLC, a Washington, DC consulting firm specializing in new media, communications strategy and using social media tools to promote campaigns and projects aimed at building the progressive movement. Before joining Progressive Strategies, Peter worked at various non-profit/humanitarian groups, including the Save Darfur Coalition.

Peter is co-founder and CEO of DoubleSpeak Media, a company that specializes in producing media projects, including podcasts, video and documentary film. DoubleSpeak Media is in the midst of producing a documentary film focused on the 2008 Democratic National Convention called "The Delegates." The film is set for release in late 2009.

Peter is a contributor to the Huffington Post and can be seen on MSNBC discussing online politics, blogging and giving analysis to the major political stories of the day. You can read more about Peter's work at www.DoubleSpeakMedia.com.

Dubbed a "local blogging guru" by the Washington Post, Geoff's Buzz Bin blog is nationally recognized, and is the top ranked independent PR blog in the Washington, DC region. He successfully launched FortiusOne's GeoCommons using an aggressive social media strategy, and marketed Godsmack lead singer Sully Erna's bio using a diversified My Space and blogosphere campaign. Geoff's book on new media "Now is Gone" was released last autumn by Bartleby Press.
